About DriftNo
DriftNo is a controller maintenance tool that runs in your browser. It measures stick drift, scores controller health out of 100, attempts the fixes software can legitimately make, and then re-measures to show whether they worked.
How the measurements are taken
DriftNo reads your controller through the browser’s standard controller APIs, and through WebHID where a pad supports direct communication. Resting drift is sampled with the sticks untouched; range and circularity are sampled while you rotate each stick against its outer edge.
Those measurements feed a weighted score: sticks carry the most weight, with triggers, buttons and sensors contributing less. The severity band and the recommended action come from the fault pattern - a steady offset is treated very differently from a noisy signal, because the right response is different.
What we will not claim
- That software permanently fixes all stick drift. Worn hardware is worn hardware.
- That a browser can calibrate every controller. Xbox pads are limited on the web and we say so on every page.
- That a Before/After figure from our marketing is your expected result. The example on this site is labelled an example.
- That deadzone changes in the browser affect your games. They do not; that is what the Steam app is for.
Data and privacy
Controller input is read and processed locally in your browser to produce the diagnostics. You do not need an account to run a test, and Premium is stored in the browser you bought it in rather than tied to a login.

FAQ
Does my controller data leave my computer?
Controller input is read and processed locally in your browser for diagnostics. There is no account to create to run a test.
What is Controller Health Score?
A single 0–100 rating DriftNo calculates from resting drift, circularity error, jitter and trigger behaviour, with a component breakdown underneath. It exists so you can compare the same controller before and after a fix instead of relying on how it feels.
Is DriftNo free?
Yes for the part that matters. The stick drift test, Controller Health Score, Quick Fix, Before/After comparison and the gamepad tester are free, and so is transferring centre and range onto a DualSense or DualShock 4 over USB. Premium (£14.99 once) remembers your work in this browser with named profiles, history and Auto Optimise.
