Controller deadzone test
A deadzone is the area around centre your controller ignores. Set it from a measurement and it hides drift without eating precision; guess it and you lose fine aim for nothing. DriftNo measures your actual resting movement and lets you preview the deadzone that covers it.
On the web this is a live preview. Games are not modified.
Deadzone is compensation, not repair
Increasing a deadzone does not reduce drift - it hides it, by ignoring a larger area around centre. That is a legitimate fix for a small, stable offset and a poor one for a badly worn stick, because the deadzone needed to cover the movement would also swallow genuine small inputs.
This is why DriftNo measures first. Once you know your resting drift is, say, 1.2%, the right inner deadzone is an informed decision rather than a slider you drag until the symptom disappears.
Inner, outer and anti-deadzone
| Setting | What it does | When to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Inner deadzone | Ignores movement close to centre | Covering small resting drift. |
| Outer deadzone | Treats near-maximum deflection as full | When a stick cannot quite reach the edge. |
| Anti-deadzone | Removes a deadzone a game applies itself | When a title feels unresponsive around centre. |
All three are previewed in the browser. Applying them inside games needs DriftNo on Steam.
Preview on the web, apply in games on Steam
The browser cannot change what your games read. What it can do is show you the live effect on the stick scope so you can feel and see the shape of the correction before committing to it. DriftNo on Steam is the part that applies tuning inside games on Windows, with per-game profiles.

FAQ
Will deadzone changes apply inside my games?
Not from the browser. On the web, deadzone adjustments are a live preview so you can see and feel the shape of the correction. Applying tuning in games on Windows is what DriftNo on Steam is for.
Does DriftNo fix stick drift permanently?
It depends on the cause. If the stick rests off-centre but is otherwise stable, calibration can correct it and the correction holds. If the potentiometer is worn - scratchy, jumpy, drift that comes back within minutes - no software can repair that. DriftNo tells you which case you are in instead of guessing.
What is the difference between Premium and DriftNo on Steam?
Premium (£14.99 once) is browser memory: named profiles, history, Auto Optimise and a session report saved in this browser. DriftNo on Steam (£24.99 once, coming) is about using your tuning inside games on Windows, with per-game profiles. Both are one-off payments and neither is a subscription.
Which browsers and devices work?
Chrome, Edge or Opera on a desktop or laptop. Calibration writes use WebHID, which needs a USB connection on most controllers. Firefox and Safari do not support WebHID, and phone browsers cannot run the tool at all.
