PlayStationStick drift test and calibration guide
DualSense Edge: stick drift test and fix
The DualSense Edge has replaceable stick modules, which changes the advice completely. If a scan says the stick is worn, you can swap the module yourself instead of replacing the whole controller - and then calibration becomes the step that makes the new module read correctly.
What to expect with the DualSense Edge
How DriftNo treats this pad for DualSense Edge stick drift: what you can test in a browser, what can be written to the controller, and when a repair is the honest answer.
In practice
DriftNo supports the same USB calibration path as the standard DualSense, so the Edge can be scanned, fixed and re-tested to confirm the swap actually worked.
Key points
- Replaceable stick modules mean a worn stick is a parts job, not a new controller.
- Calibrate after every module change - a fresh module rarely lands on perfect centre.
- Hardware stick and trigger stops are mechanical and are not altered by software tuning.

DualSense Edge stick drift: common questions
I replaced an Edge stick module and it still reads off-centre. Is it faulty?
Usually not. New modules sit slightly differently from the ones they replace, and the controller is still using the old reference values. Run a scan, calibrate centre and range, then re-test. If readings are still noisy after calibration, then suspect the module.
Does the fix stay on the controller when I unplug it?
Centre and range calibration written over USB is stored on the controller, so it travels with the pad when you move it to your console. Deadzone and curve tuning is browser-side and does not.
Do the Edge back buttons and trigger stops affect the Health Score?
The score is driven by stick drift, circularity, jitter and trigger behaviour. Mechanical trigger stops change travel, so run the scan with the stops in the position you actually play with.
How do I know whether to calibrate or replace the stick?
Run the scan first. Stable readings with an off-centre rest point point to calibration. Noisy, inconsistent readings, or drift that returns shortly after a fix, point to a worn module - replace it, then calibrate the new one.
