DriftGuard alternative: fix stick drift online

DriftNo is a browser stick drift fixer and gamepad maintenance tool built for the same job people search when looking for a DriftGuard alternative: stick drift testing, guided calibration, and quantified proof the fix worked. Connect in Chrome, Edge, or Opera, get a 0-100 Controller Health Score, run Quick Fix, write centre and range to DualSense and DualShock 4 over USB, and verify Before / After results.

  • Centre offset0.07 → 0.01

Example session: Health Score 58 to 81. Your numbers come from your own scans. A software-only fix usually moves the score less than a stick replacement.

What a gamepad maintenance tool should do

A maintenance tool is a fixer, not a button grid tester: it measures resting drift, guides centre and range calibration when the pad is stable, and proves the outcome with Before / After numbers. The stick drift test, Quick Fix path, and Health Score stay free; Premium adds optional saved profiles and history in the browser.

DriftGuard helped popularize gamepad maintenance across web and native apps. Here is how DriftNo compares with DriftGuard, dualshock-tools, Gamepad Tester, Gamepadla, and other controller utilities, including areas where each tool holds an advantage.

How DriftNo compares to testing and remapping utilities

Different tools serve different roles in your controller setup. Here is how testing benches and remappers differ from a maintenance tool.

Fix stick drift online with DriftNo

The guided path most people want from a DriftGuard alternative: controller calibration in under two minutes.

  1. 1

Open DriftNo in Chrome, Edge, or Opera

Desktop browser, controller connected. Use a USB cable for PlayStation calibration writes; Bluetooth works for testing and scoring.

  2. 2

    Run the health scan

Keep hands off the sticks. Resting drift, circularity, and jitter become a 0-100 Controller Health Score with per-stick breakdowns.

  3. 3

    Run Quick Fix

Guided centre and range calibration when the diagnosis allows. DualSense and DualShock 4 take a full USB write on the free path.

  4. 4

    Confirm with Before / After

See the score and drift delta change. Export the share card when the controller needs proof for warranty or resale.

Offset drift can improve in software. Worn potentiometers need a module replacement, then calibration. DriftNo tells you which case you have.

Why DriftNo is a strong alternative

  • Proof built in

Controller Health Score plus Before / After delta and a PNG share card: a quantified stick drift fix with evidence, not just a scope.

  • Full free fix path

Stick drift test, Quick Fix, gamepad tester bench, and PlayStation USB transfer stay free. Premium (£14.99 once) is optional browser memory.

  • Platform honesty

Clear guidance on what the browser can write and when hardware replacement is required. DriftNo on Steam (£24.99) adds in-game apply on Windows.

FAQ

Is DriftNo free?

Yes for the full fix path. Health scan, Controller Health Score, Quick Fix, Before / After, and the gamepad tester are free. So is the whole Advanced bench: deadzone sliders, trigger calibration, linearity wizard, device tests, and Repair check. So is PlayStation USB transfer to console. Premium (£14.99 once) adds named profiles, health history, unlimited Auto Optimise, custom curves, per-axis sensitivity, and session PDF export in this browser.

What is the difference between Premium and DriftNo on Steam?

Premium (£14.99 once) keeps your work in this browser: profiles, health history, unlimited Auto Optimise, custom stick and trigger curves, per-axis sensitivity, and session PDFs. Nothing in Premium writes to Xbox or Nintendo pads for console transfer, and PlayStation USB transfer stays free. DriftNo on Steam (£24.99 once, coming) includes Premium and adds apply-in-game on Windows plus per-game profiles and deeper Xbox tuning. Both are one-off payments, not subscriptions.

Does it work with Xbox controllers in the browser?

Testing, Health Score and deadzone preview work on a desktop browser. The browser cannot save centre and range on Xbox pads the way PlayStation USB transfer to console does. DriftNo on Steam (coming) is being built for in-game tuning on Windows, not USB transfer to Xbox console from the pad.

Are the Before/After numbers in DriftNo marketing real results?

The 58 → 81 figure in DriftNo marketing is labelled as an example session, not an average or a promise. Before / After in the Lab always comes from that controller’s own scans. Software-only fixes often move the score less than a hardware repair.

Does DriftNo fix stick drift permanently?

It depends on the cause. If the stick rests off-centre but is otherwise stable, calibration can correct it and the correction holds. If the potentiometer is worn (scratchy, jumpy, drift that comes back within minutes) no software can repair that. DriftNo tells you which case you are in instead of guessing.

What is Controller Health Score?

A single 0-100 rating DriftNo calculates from resting drift, circularity error, jitter and trigger behaviour, with a component breakdown underneath. It exists so you can compare the same controller before and after a fix instead of relying on how it feels.
