VictrixStick drift test and calibration guide

Victrix Pro BFG: stick drift test and fix

The Pro BFG is modular by design - you can physically remove and rearrange the stick and button clusters. That makes it one of the few pads where a worn stick is genuinely a parts swap, and where re-testing after a change is the obvious next step.

What to expect with the Victrix Pro BFG

How DriftNo treats this pad for Victrix Pro BFG stick behaviour: what you can test in a browser, what can be written to the controller, and when a repair is the honest answer.

In practice

DriftNo measures resting drift and circularity and scores each stick, so you can confirm a replaced module reads correctly instead of hoping it does.

Key points

  • Modular stick clusters: a worn stick can be replaced without a new controller.
  • Re-test after any module change - that is the point of a before and after score.
  • Xbox-protocol device, so browser calibration writes are limited.

Victrix Pro BFG stick drift: common questions

I swapped a Pro BFG module and the reading changed. Which is correct?

The new reading is the current truth about your hardware. Re-scan and treat that as the new baseline, then compare future tests against it.

Does rearranging the clusters affect the test?

It changes the physical layout, not the sensor reading. Test in the layout you play with so the result matches your experience.

Why is calibration limited in the browser on this pad?

Windows does not expose the same calibration write path for Xbox-protocol controllers that PlayStation pads allow over WebHID. Testing, Health Score and deadzone preview work normally; deeper calibration is what DriftNo on Steam is being built for.

How do I know whether to calibrate or replace the stick?

Run the scan first. Stable readings with an off-centre rest point point to calibration. Noisy, inconsistent readings, or drift that returns shortly after a fix, point to a worn module - replace it, then calibrate the new one.
