Xbox controller calibration in the browser

DriftNo can test Xbox Wireless, Elite, and 360 controllers in Chrome, Edge, or Opera and give you a Health Score and diagnosis. Storing centre and range on an Xbox pad from a web page is limited because Windows does not expose the same WebHID write path PlayStation gets. Use the web to measure and decide; use DriftNo on Steam when it ships for in-game apply on Windows, or your platform’s own calibration tools for pad firmware.

What to do when the scan says repair

Xbox drift from wear still needs a module swap or shop repair. The web score helps you document the fault for warranty or resale. After hardware work, use the platform calibration flow or DriftNo on Steam when it ships.

FAQ

Does it work with Xbox controllers in the browser?

Testing, Health Score and deadzone preview work on a desktop browser. The browser cannot save centre and range on Xbox pads the way PlayStation USB transfer to console does. DriftNo on Steam (coming) is being built for in-game tuning on Windows, not USB transfer to Xbox console from the pad.

Will deadzone changes apply inside my games?

Not from the browser. On the web, deadzone adjustments are a live preview so you can see and feel the shape of the correction. Applying tuning in games on Windows is what DriftNo on Steam is for.

What is the difference between Premium and DriftNo on Steam?

Premium (£14.99 once) keeps your work in this browser: profiles, health history, unlimited Auto Optimise, custom stick and trigger curves, per-axis sensitivity, and session PDFs. Nothing in Premium writes to Xbox or Nintendo pads for console transfer, and PlayStation USB transfer stays free. DriftNo on Steam (£24.99 once, coming) includes Premium and adds apply-in-game on Windows plus per-game profiles and deeper Xbox tuning. Both are one-off payments, not subscriptions.

How do I know whether to calibrate or replace the stick?

Run the scan first. Stable readings with an off-centre rest point point to calibration. Noisy, inconsistent readings, or drift that returns shortly after a fix, point to a worn module - replace it, then calibrate the new one.

Which browsers and devices work?

Chrome, Edge or Opera on a desktop or laptop. Calibration writes use WebHID, which needs a USB connection on most controllers. Firefox and Safari do not support WebHID, and phone browsers cannot run the tool at all.
